Thread: Tenicor Zero

Mine arrived. So far it's surprisingly good.

I ordered a 32. My pants are usually 31 or 32 in the waist. The 32 Zero belt is long enough that the tail extends past my left hip bone. That extra bend makes it much harder to get that last bit of adjustment (I have some pointy hip bones). I may shorten it by ~3-4 inches.

I was surprised by how flexible the belt is. It seems to have a lot less structure than my Specialist belt. That's not necessarily a negative, just an observation. I'm sure it'll be more than adequate with a G43 but I am curious to try a full day of hiking with a G19+MRDS+WML.

That is how I do it, 1.5” dcc clip over the excess tail and not over both pieces. I can tighten and loosen the belt with holster and mag pouch in place.

    Don’t know about other belts.
Don’t over think the sizing. Just order your pant size.

    Thanks

I would not call myself a fanboy but rather a lazyboy. Once I find things that work, I tend to stick with them. I have stuck with Glock because they boringly work for me. When I pull the trigger, I have a good idea of what comes next. I am too lazy to invest a bunch of time in a new platform. Glocks work for me and I am good with that.

Tenicor, like Glock, makes things that are simple, strong and work. I have a bunch of their holsters and the Zero belt appears to follow these lines.

I have about 12 hours on the belt so far but it is comfortable, easy to adjust, no velcro noise and holds it setting.

I have not tried OWB, but won't be surprised if that is a no-go. The suppleness of the belt does not seem made for OWB carry but great for IWB.

It will be back on tomorrow and if anything changes I will post an update.

Thanks Tenicor for keeping me lazy.
Thanks for sharing. This iteration of the belt is made specifically for IWB carry of compact and subcompact guns. That being said, it will work very well OWB with our products as they balance well and sit very close to the body. It is a system designed to work. Almost like someone intended it that way. 😉

Been wearing mine for about a week now, it’s supporting a g45 in tenicor/PHLster holsters very well. The buckle is awesome and I have an easier time adjusting tension with this than with the MMT D ring belt I’ve been using prior to this

Probably my favorite belt so far, major props to those at tenicor for coming out with this.

Can anyone compare it to an Ares Gear Aegis belt? That's my current go-to.

Completely different. I have an aegis enhanced which is insanely stiff in comparison. The Zero is about as stiff as a basic single ply leather belt

Really? And you find it still supportive without the gun flopping outboard?

I had a volund and it was a certified hulahoop - super rigid. I find the Aegis considerably more flexible. That being said it's still kind of hulahoopy - gaps form in the back where it doesn't conform to your waist. That being said it does support owb and two mags with no problem.

I haven't tried the V Dev gru one where it's really flexible except the front.

I'm using it for AIWB. I would not use or recommend the Zero for OWB.

It's better... at least for me.

Nothing wrong with the Ares Gear, I like the adjustable system they use, but the relative stiffness of the Aegis doesn't serve to pull the gun in as well as the Zero belt... again, at least for me. I find the flexibility of the Zero belt to dress more naturally over a gun worn IWB at 3:15-3:30 and that serves to pull the gun in better. I am pleased with mine thus far.
