Probably with the idea of voting in a more friendly government and overturning the law. The Clinton AWB had a sunset, a necessary inclusion to get enough votes to pass originally, and was allowed to sunset. To date, there's been no need to take up arms against the central government to affect policy change. Well, one big attempt that didn't go so well for the confederacy, but voting still works. The pendulum will swing again, I think, and mass non-compliance is part of getting that going. Legalization of marijuana was a huge political issue. Why? Massive non-compliance, widespread social acceptance even among those not smoking it themselves, and the widespread notion that the burdens on the criminal justice system for enforcement were not worth it. There was no armed revolution to make the changes happen, and it likely would not have been as effective as the simple method of voting for it.

There's a difference between an oppressive government and an opposition controlled government. Nobody is appointing Biden or Trump. They are not dictators, regardless of who wins. We, the people, are voting for them and despite the doom porn that pops up each election cycle we've yet to have a POTUS or congressman not comply with the results of an election.

Exactly. We, The People. You can't do much better than that.

Consider this.

We have been at war for almost two decades. We have literally thousands and thousands of experienced warfighters. That includes not only conventional units but an incredible amount of men with specialized skill sets who are used to fighting insurgency type wars.

They are trained in intelligence/counterintelligence, espionage, sabotage, and subversion, to name a few skills. Many will have old school communications skills that do not require the use of cell phones or radios that can easily be monitored.


Many have been trained in Host Nation force development. How hard do most people think it would be for a group of former XYZs to use that force multiplier concept on the local level to develop an effective insurgency when pushed into a corner?

I understand that Antifa is getting a lot of press these days, but does anyone really think that all the guys from Pineland are really going to turn in their ARs?

I doubt that too many of the guys that did, or do a pre-deployment warm ups at BSR are going to turn in their gear. As in about zero.





As for me?

I assume this covers my previous comments. I’m at a point where I simply don’t care about legal consequences. I’ve done nothing illegal, and standing by the Constitution of the United States is not illegal. Standing by the Declaration of Independence is not illegal, and highly patriotic. Any attempt at firearm confiscation is going to be met without extreme resistance. I do not condone the actions of Timothy McVeigh, but he showed the world what two pissed off men could do(!!!!). It was a cowardly act, and his anger was misplaced, but it was nevertheless devastating. Six years later, a handful of Islamic terrorists showed the world that they could cause as much death and destruction, as the Japanese Naval Fleet did in 1941. There are MANY Americans itching for a fight, and they are well prepared. I do not wish to start a fight, but will not back down when one is brought to me.

I have a right to speak freely, and I’m not threatening anyone, at least anyone who doesn’t threaten me. If a local, state, or federal legislature passes a law that violates my rights, I will not comply. I do not seek a fight, nor do I wish to harm anyone. Having said that, I do not fear any man, and have made peace with my maker years ago. Taking a stand is neither revolutionary, nor illegal. My rights are derived from God, and enshrined in our Constitution. I will neither bend, nor yield to any governmental agency.

I would advise against getting entangled in a debate about what you might do in the event of an AWB.

Getting upset and arguing on the internet about what might happen is probably not a great use of your time.

That’s something that can’t be lost. I was at a 2-gun match years ago in the Obama years and there were a number of officers there. I’ll tell you they were as pissed as anyone else about what was happening or just being discussed about happening. I think that’s the big thing to remember, our officers, military, etc. are supporting the constitution and honestly day to day building out the freedoms we enjoy. I get to sit in my house in the suburbs and working on technology and get fat (gained weight during the epidemic but still) - these guys are putting their lives on the line and I get to enjoy that because of their sacrifices.

God Bless our law enforcement and military, etc. and I’d say keep in mind their position. If anyone’s bought into fixing this system - it’s them.

I got into an argument with a coworker about this “we need to take our country back” I’m like “Totally, we need to vote, etc.” and he alluded to an uprising and I brought up what I’ve seen in my life about LE, and TBH a lot of them are the best our society has to offer. In virtue and in deed.
