Probably a k frame. I think my 4" standard barrel m64 is 30 oz loaded. Round butted and hammer spur removed.
I suppose i could buy more running shorts with belt loops for the same amount of money.
An airweight j frame would probably be ideal.

I ran six miles today with a pistol wear PT-2 bearing a CCO. It manages a LWC about as well. I’ve been using one for several years.
I try to carry a gun as often as I can, but holy fuck is it a good idea on a run.
Ignore Alien Orders
I have two of the Spiritus SACKs. I use them as grab and go trauma/IFAK bags. The overall design is very compact. Like a lot smaller than they look. I was surprised when I opened the package the first time.
The webbing for the waistband on the SACK is very thin. I would have to double check but I think sub 1". I have only run with mine slung over my neck and shoulder when I had to deploy it with my rifle. If I was going to run for distance and on a regular basis, I would want the HPG or a bag designed for running first.
My SACK with medical items:
I bought one of these for my wife for the gym but she never used it https://flipbelt.com/
I took it out for a jog the other day and wore it like a belly band and clipped my j frame / Harry's holster inside the belt and it kept it very sturdy. I don't think it would work for anything heavier but it flopped a lot less than a fanny pack
