    Got My Lubriplate SFL 0

Picked up a 1 lb can from Midway. I conservatively estimate it will last me approx 376.4 years.

It looks and feels like TW-25B but it's got that Lubriplate thing going on.

I use what's closest to me when working at my bench, it's either Lubriplate or Slide Glide. The Lubriplate tin will last a very long time.

I don't care about wonder-lubes and will not buy another lube in the foreseeable future.

I've been wanting to try the SFL0.

I picked up some SFL 0 myself a couple of weeks ago, along with some plastic syringes for easy application. 1911guy almost had me looking for a polyurea grease, but without paying ridiculous prices or buying in 5 gallon pails, this seems like it will work just fine. I compared the SFL 0 with what seemed like a good polyurea grease based on the following two spec sheets:

    http://www.lubriplate.com/PDFs/PDS/8...L-2_1_0_00.pdf
    http://www.phillips66lubricants.com/...w%20726890.pdf

Up to now I've been using oils on the slide rails. It will be interesting to see whether I can notice a difference.

I migrated away from TW25b when I ran out, and switched to SFL-0 due to price and it being rated for use on food equipment (read non-toxic and you can lick your fingers).
To me it has the same consistancy as TW25b. SFL-0 is officially NLSI grade 0.
It stays in place better than TW25b in my opinion.
    Effective AND CHEAP.

Here is what influenced me to switch in the first place: http://www.grantcunningham.com/lubricants101.html

pst. I use Ballistol as my CLP. Also effective, non-toxic, and CHEAP.

Dude, I'd have sent you a bunch for nothing.

I have some that I've been compounding PTFE into it for S&G purposes.

: ) I appreciate the sentiment! Perhaps sometime when you're fully up and running and I can send you something for a refinish.
