Don't you need a permit for that now or at least be 1/18th Inuit

I was just using the commonly used terminology, Bill ..... but thank you for the correction.
The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.

    Why just Mobil 1

Wouldn't any cheap motor oil work?

I used 3 in 1 in the 70`s on my 22`s and my shotgun

The one thing I'm into is the 32oz M- Pro 7 Cleaner!

Much safer than the N.C. Brake Cleaner I used to spray out .

It's really good motor oil, but yeah, having oil is the important part in much of the shooting I have done. I have "fixed" a bunch of M16s and machine guns over the years with a pumper bottle of CLP or drops from the dipstick of a vehicle.

I often tell people that lack of proper lubrication is one of life's great issues.

I would imagine that it is a much easier process to collect the sperm whale oil than the sperm whale sperm, although likely much less fun for the whale.

Every now and then at a match, or a conference I get the little complimentary bottles of somebody's awesome or new gun lube. They go fast and then I use the bottle for 10w40, or whatever was left over from when I changed the oil in my truck to fill those little bottles back up. I have this suspicion that in some of these big gun lube companies, the factory consists of cracking open cases of Castrol GTX and pouring it into brightly colored and fancy labeled little bottles. Maybe somebody could point out the differences in ingredients for this kind of oil vs. that kind.
