    Training Certifications

I am a former Infantry Marine who now works in Executive Protection, have my CCW for California and Utah, along will all other needed BSIS security licenses. I am also an NRA Certified RSO and Instructor, and California DOJ Handgun Safety Instructor. I am now trying to find info on becoming a licensed/certified FBI Instructor as well as a Class 3 Instructor. Does anyone know where I can find more information on this and/or what I need to do.

To become an FBI instructor, contact the FBI.

I'm not aware of any nationally recognized "Class 3 instructor" certification. Unless this is something enumerated in your state's statutes I couldn't tell you where to begin.

Last I heard, (about two months ago) the Bureau had stopped running field schools for local LEOs. That may be a regional thing so reach our for your local agents and see what they say.

One thing I'd also strongly suggest is getting civilian training. IMHO and IME, .gov and .mil training tends to be a bit behind the curve.
