Incorrect they are hard plastic like the standard Beretta grips, just in wrap around configuration.

I liked them. They are pretty cheap, and VERY grippy. No squirm. Just watch that trigger bar drag.

Anyway I bring it up to say watch and vet your Beretta grips for this problem. It’s easy to solve but the trigger not resetting is a bummer problem to have in a pinch.

    Haven’t seen those.

This is what I’m talking about:

I’ve been meaning to buy the G10 version instead.

Seems like changing grips is the better option, then.

I understand. I don't like those M9A3 type wrap around grips. I will refer you to the DXR thread and post 220 that shows the plastic ones installed on mine. They are really nice and I think further down thread (244) we talked about the relative advantages and disadvantages, and you can see video of the trigger sticking. And finally a post comparing the plastic to the G10 Hogue in #250.

For $20, the plastic is worth a try. I liked them.

This test took longer than usual! But the gun is absolutely solid. Very soft shooting, very reliable, very accurate, extremely un-picky with ammo. Internals stick with a dot connector and it has a great trigger.

I don’t know what else to say other than this is my favorite gun for shooting and range tasks but a bit bulky for carry. If I cut the grip down to 19 size I would absolutely carry it.

But first I need to bust this old version DPP and get it replaced with the new improved one.

Summary: Pretty much perfection. Meet my new carry gun marking a return to a dot gun for the first time in about six years. It’s an easy gun to love. Very accurate, very forgiving to shoot, and apparently also very reliable. The only drama was the rear sight moved in it’s dovetail to the left after about 1600 rounds. I don’t remember dropping or hitting it but that is possible.

This gun is great. A gen 5 zev 19 omen slide with an EDM ported barrel. Gen 4 frame, overwatch precision trigger/magwell. 13lb recoil spring. 4lb striker spring

The great majority of the ammo in this pile - minus the 5.56 and steel case - was fired in this gun from 11/2020 to 11/2021.

Mostly federal 115 fmj (90% of it)
    Mag tech 115 fmj
    Speer Gold dot 124 +p

The first 6000 had one misfire on magtech (it took 7 clicks to make that one go bang)

The ported barrel takes the edge off without being Roland special long.

All told then gun has 11,400 rounds fired with 5 total malfunctions traced to a magazine I threw in the trash.

Very pleased with the whole set up.

I just have to ask, since I see an X300 on board, how does the shorter pistol help anything?

This is my backup gun: Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite with Volquartsen Accurizing Kit, Tandemkross Game Changer Pro Compensator and C-More Railway Sight with 12 MOA Dot.

It's backup to my VQ Black Mamba but gets shot a lot. I've learned to never go to the range with only one gun, just in case.

Today I fired about 250 rounds of CCI Mini Mag Hollow Points. The gun will eat anything I try including 40 grain Mini Mags, CCI Blazer, Aguila Super Extra and CCI Standard Velocity, Wolf Match Extra and Eley Force. It doesn't matter what I shoot in this gun, they all function 100 % of the time.

Well over 2000 rounds without cleaning. Oddly enough I clean my Mamba after every range trip.

The tenicore malus sol is open on the muzzle so the kkm comp on my other guns protrudes out by my zipper (due to the huge ass wedge I have on it).

It’s small thing but as a driver it matters
