Just picked this up Wednesday. Disassembled pistol and lubed with SLiP EWL. Fired all rounds in less than an hour at an indoor range. The pistol got so hot my son was whining it was burning his finger. Rounds fired with no X300U, nor red dot mounted.

We shall see how it does. I've never been optimistic about STIs, but this one seems to be humming along. I've got another chance to go to range tomorrow and Monday, so I will try to run a few hundred more through it. I'd like to get the 2k done in a month.

Once again, the Gen 5 style Glock does great. The 19X is an accurate, reliable easy to shoot, easy to maintain pistol. Recommended.

Comments: The comp came loose during the first 200 round range session, although it did not impede the firing of the gun which accounts for the 1 malfunction. The prongs at the rear of the comp that mate up with the beveled front end of the Gen 5 Glocks, kept it in place. I attribute this malfunction to user error, I did not allow the thread locker enough time to set before taking the gun to the range. Thread locker was reapplied and this problem did not repeat. No other issues, the gun chewed through whatever I fed it. The gun felt like it tracked flatter under recoil shooting 124, 127, and 147. There was no noticeable difference in split times with different ammo, so just my feels. I had a prior accuracy issue with a Brownells V1st barrel for a G43, but I'm happy to say that problem did not show up with this barrel. I hit POA/POI at 10yds and if I did my part, a 6 o'clock hold on a B8 at 25yds kept me in the black. The Arc Sparc is a single port comp so I was curious to see how the Dawson F/O front would fare, but aside from a little grunginess on the front edge of the front sight, no worse for wear. The gun is the same length as a G34, so I ran it out of an JMCK George, DSG Osiris, and a Safariland 6354 DO, all for G34s, without any issues.

I started out hating this gun. It got better as I got used to and started to really appreciate the trigger and handling after about 1000 rounds. It got a lot better when I added a large backstrap.

It had slide lock activations early in the year with 147 grain ammo. They went away as I tested other ammo. I came back to 147 the last 200 rounds and it happened again. It has something to do with the bullet hitting the slide lock during recoil and activating it. Wilson is apparently aware of the issue and were extremely helpful about getting the gun back. It is on its way and I hope it comes back fixed because I ended up loving it by the end of the test.

In disclosure: I added oil to rails about every 700 rounds but did not clean gun. I just wasn’t willing to run a gun this expensive totally dry. I never saw the cycling slow down, at least in 700 rounds and it didn’t mind the dirt.

    2,000 Round Challenge: Glock 21 Gen 4

This one took a couple of months because of the price of .45 Auto ammunition, but it has been completed with no cleaning or lubrication during the 2,026 rounds.

    Pistol: Glock 21 Gen 4
    Caliber: .45 Auto
Ammunition: Speer Lawman 230gr TMJ, American Eagle 230gr FMJ, Federal "Range Target Practice" 230gr FMJ, S&B 230gr FMJ, Armscor 230gr FMJ, Fiocchi 230gr FMJ, 20rds of Federal HST 230gr JHP, 40rds of Hornady Critical Duty 220gr +P PT
    Dates of testing: 09/21/2019 - 11/18/2019
    Total rounds fired: 2,026

    Comments:

I've had this one for a couple of years. It has never had a single stoppage, malfunction, or breakage, including during the 2,000 round test. The total round count of the pistol is a bit over 4,000. Before the test began it was lubed with G96 CLP, and was not field stripped, lubed, or cleaned until the test was over. The pistol did nothing but work exactly as it was supposed to, down to locking back on empty mags. It shot exactly the same from the 1st round to the 2,026th. I couldn't ask for better performance and reliability. Though I primarily carry a 9mm G19, I wouldn't hesitate to trust this pistol with my life, and for some reason I seem to shoot it extremely well despite the increased recoil over 9mm.

The Federal "Target Practice" ammunition was notably filthy. It would deposit large, thin flakes of burned powder into the gun and onto my arms while shooting it. However, it worked just fine.

    Stoppages:
    All in first 600 rounds:

1 light strike PPU 124 NATO
4 light primer strikes SB 124 grain
All above with 13# spring. No light strikes with D spring x1400 rounds.
1 fail to feed (20 round mag)
1 fail to load from slide lock (20 round mag)
1 fail to lock back unknown mag.

I purchased this gun new and installed a Langdon TJIAB with 13# hammer spring. I don’t shoot it much and it took me forever to rack up the rounds. I did oil rails if it sat for months but did not clean it. The last 550 rounds was in a single shooting session and it got hot but had no bobbles.

Hard Euro primers and the 13# spring don’t get along. I went to a D spring and all was well.

The 20 round magazine included from Wilson is absolute junk and should be tossed.

Overall I really like this gun except for the downside of its weight. The trigger is 6.5/3.25# and has remained smooth unlike the Langdon trigger in my LTT which got incredibly gritty after a couple thousand rounds.

It proved to be reliable and very accurate when I did my part, but not perhaps as shooter friendly as an HK or Glock IMO. I think the Centurion form factor may be the best of all the 92s. I certainly enjoyed it more than the longer models.

Took a break from shooting this past year and change, today was finally the last 100 rounds to bring it over 2k. The stoppage had happened the last time I took it out in August 2018, failure to go into battery. I felt my thumb riding against the slide when I took that shot, so likely culprit.

Pistol was covered in lint and dust, any lube that might have once been on there is long gone, action felt a tad scrape-y. Couple mags today shot by a petite girl with zero handgun experience, no issues.

Good gun. Also my splits have gone to hell.

    Comments:
The pistol was purchased brand new in May 2019. This would have taken longer, but I was fortunate enough to be given a Gabe White class and ran nearly a thousand through it in two days in October.

The gun is accurate, nice to shoot, rubs the crap out of my trigger finger, and eats every bullet style and weight I threw at it. It did have 5 light strikes over the course of about 600 Wolf and Barnaul rounds. 4 of the 5 were recovered and fired through another gun. The other was lost on the ground during the Gabe White class.
