CQB at 1k w/ my coating

Just hit 1k thru it, so I thought I'd pull the grips off and snap a few pictures.

Overall, I'm happy with the performance (well, since it was mine, it's awesome ).

Bill can you do this on aluminium? I've got an old Gen 1 Kimber Compact I'd let you dicker with if you're interested.

Yep. Easily. Stainless is the PITA. The issue w/ stainless is the Woods strike that is used to get adhesion prior to the EN-W deposition. So, like chrome, you get less than optimal deposition in the "inside" like firing pin or extractor holes.

Aluminum uses a zincate bath, and that goes inside and out nicely.

Bill, still offering to do small projects? I have an AR-15 bolt carrier that I'd like to get re-finished.
