Just got the most recent book for a Christmas present as everybody in the extended families knew I was a big fan and had read all the other books.

Looking forward to starting it this weekend when I've got the time.

Like it... wife likes it... even though it's NOT Wyoming...
" While the story is supposed to take place in northern Wyoming, the series is being filmed in Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Eagle Nest and Red River, New Mexico." IMDB and Wiki, same story.

Wanna know the worst part? My home state of Wyoming started taxing movies to be filmed here a while back. One of the most beautiful places on earth. Now, since it's taxed to hell and back to film here... not so much filmy filmy. Sad.

It's a ploy to keep the granola eaters out of your state.

    Longmire cancelled by A&E

Longmire, A&E Network’s most-watched original drama series of all time, will be ending its run on the cable network after three seasons.
Not unlike when A&E cancelled "The Glades" which was at the time its most viewed protram.

A&E Execs: "Man a lot of people watch Longmire and it has a really passionate fan base."
Other Exec: "True, but they're all old. None of that sweet, sweet 18-24 year old demographic."
Exec: "OH GOD DON'T LET US TURN INTO CBS CANCEL THAT SHOW NOW"

LOL ... it has gotten bad enough to where I start fearing the axe as soon as I discover I really like a show.

Those that I kinda liked in the beginning but stopped liking (Yes, Walking Dead and Big Bang Theory - I'm talking about you...) will probably run forever.
