    Newbie Glock question

    What's the primary difference(s) between Glock 17 Gen 2 & Gen 3?
    What's a fair price for a Gen 2 with 3 x 17 magazines?
    Thanks!

    Gen 3 added:

    Finger Grooves
    Accessory rail
    'Thumb Rest'
    Loaded Chamber Indicator

I can't recall if the 3rd pin was added with the 3rd gen, or you could get a 3 pin Gen 2.

The extra pin was added during the third gen. Early 3rd gen guns still had a single pin above the trigger.

The .40 and 357SIG Glocks had some issues with the locking block tilting and marring the underside of the slide. The pin holes also got a bit elongated. They added this third pin to the frame to help with the issue. The 9mm Glocks got the added pin for uniformity.

    1. you can set the mag release to work for a southpaw (works with new mags only)
    2. switchable backstraps
    3. more aggressive grip and slide texturing
    4. double recoil spring.
