I have one of those shoulder rigs for a K frame snub only it's in much rougher shape.

I can believe a rig like this has been worn a lot. This one was a NOS I bought I dunno 10-years or so ago off Gunbroker or Ebay. It's a favorite of mine for winter/spring/fall carry, because it hides under a jacket easily. It's also my preferred driving rig, due to the low profile and ease of carry with an aluminum D-Frame. Gun in this case is a '68-vintage Colt Cobra with '60s vintage Fitz Ten-O grips, but loaded with Speer Short-Barrel Gold Dot.

If anybody is in need of an upside down rig for a revolver - Both AE Nelson and Nevada Gun Leather have them. And each of them offers a different harness type, Nelson has a figure-8 type harness (like the one I use with this rig). And Nevada GL uses what is sometimes called an H-type harness (which basically doesn't have a cross over in the middle of the back).

I'm a bit jealous that it works so well for a D frame but not quite as well for a 12-2.

I'll take a look at the newer rigs. Thanks for the heads up!

I've found about a 20-ounce (loaded) weight limit with my rig. The 1" wide harness starts to cut in, with weights much above that, needing constant readjustment and movement. I tried this rig a few times with an all steel DS and it just doesn't work.

If you're running a 12-2, I'd look hard at the Nevada GL rig, which has much wider straps.

Dropped an Apex kit into my MKIV 22/45 Lite last night. Trigger now feels lighter and crisper without feeling game gun light.
