I really need to order one of those junk pillows to try. Ive got the wedge and its been good, but I hear the pillow is much better.
I asked the same question elsewhere. Its a older Blade Tech with a DCC Monoblock clip.
Kind of a show off moment, but really it is a bit more personal than that.
Over the weekend I was able to participate in a USPSA classifier match and decided to dig out my 1911 that was given to me by my father. Don't worry he is still alive!
This was the gun I learned to shoot with in the back yard at coffee cans as a teenager and where my handgun itch started.
I would ended up shooting other guns and the old Kimber languished in the safe for about 10 years other than maybe a random magazine once in a while.
Some practice the week before the match and a bit of luck on the stages they chose to include at the match.
I shot 3 personal best classifier percentages and was able to make Master in the Single Stack division with a higher overall % than my primary division.
This is the Kimber I mentioned in the "Kimber" thread a couple weeks ago, it has around 10k on it, not counting whatever the original owner put on it and has been holding up pretty well.
Most every thing is original other than the grips and the mainspring/magwell, same long dead tritium sights and a terrible 5lb trigger
