Not all of my vintage flashlights...
When I was a kid my dad had an old flashlight with a built-in magnet to stick to something while you were working. At the time I had a toy rifle made of wood and metal so I would stick the flashlight to the metal parts of the gun and clear the house when it was dark.
Not the usual "show off" item, but feeling especially lucky today to get paid to learn from and train with some really amazing people who do some really amazing things. Plus, helicopters are pretty sweet.
Sweet. I've been looking into flight nurse work.
I was in the Helo company of my Battalion. We did a lot of training in the mountains of Hawaii, Philippines, etc. After we lost a third of my company in a crash in Iraq it took me a long time to get back into one.
My wife was so excited to do a helo tour in Hawaii on our honeymoon I never let on how hard it was for me to board. She still doesn't know.
