Since it does not appear there had been a thread already for tonight's match, figured I would open one up.
This is just to say thanks to the Todd, joshs, and the other folks that ran this - as always, a superb match and an excellent group of folks to study with.
For me, it had been some time since I had the chance to participate due to travel requirements, and it was nice to come back to what was essentially a series of cold tests. The stages were a good mix of the "must anticipate" high probability of encounter, to the foundational drill of the Triple Nickel, and a nice wild card thrown in.
As to the wild card, I have to say that a Red Cell / direct action stage is good to see. I have long been an advocate of establishing a baseline dataset for comparison in building out the par times (and concurrent pre-assault emphasis) for the less well tested defense scenarios; and giving folks a chance to consider the other perspective as a thought exercise on how they would prepare to respond is also worth the experience. Of course, for the gamers these stages also let them mull over the hard problems faced by more specialized skills roles than the traditional personal defense situation, but kinda-sorta allows room for this too I should think.
Also, this match marked the first time I had seen an RDS in the match. I would like to hear tell the impressions of the match from that shooter, if they would be willing to offer them.
