Has anyone had a bottle of Johnny Walker Black? I was given a free bottle and normally I just drink single malt. Anything I should do to it?

Have you tried Eagle Rare? Made by Buffalo Trace.
Where the EWSB is a more vanilla spiced, ER has some very big caramel flavor.
ER is like Bookers x 0.75 without the huge alcohol of Bookers.

It's good stuff if you're hanging out in your hotel room in Amman.

Drifting from scotch a bit here, but anyone here a fan of Templeton Rye? Ordinarily I'm not much of a fan of rye whiskeys but this stuff isn't too bad.

Haven't seen that one. Guess I'll have to look from now on.

As for the second part re: Bookers alcohol content... <ahem> --Excuse me, but why would I want less alcohol when I drink? j/k

Definitely, pour it over the rocks.... and don't forget lots of Coke in there too.
Alternatively, you can send it to me as that's what invariably ends up happening to it whenever I have "Schmucks for Drinks" night at my place.

ETA: At least I save my good Singles that way... Along with my Guinness, cuz they're killing the PBRs too.

Sorry for the junk cell picture.

There are not many things that are redeeming about our capitol...... However.....

300+ whiskey selection. Everything from Bourbon to White....

They also have killer food. You know it is good when they say. "Let me get you the book, then I will send over the expert to help you decide."

I have a good friend who swears by the stuff, but I find it vile and undrinkable. Then again, I hate rye.

I'm a long way from having the discriminating taste some of you fellas have.... But I personally enjoy Highland Park 12 and Dalmore 12.
