Am about to post my DR650 for sale, probably tomorrow, to follow through with my plan to try and consolidate it and mt FZ-1 into a new SV650.
I am really not using the power of the FZ and would like to try something lighter. I have been telling unfamiliar friends it would be like trading a Mustang for a Miata.
But then I walk past the Suzuki in the garage and wonder if I really wanna do this...
Oh well, this is the second one I have had, will probably end up with another one again when I have more time to utilize it.

Got rid my my 2014 S1000R in favor of an M1000R and now that I got the first service done and it's "unlocked", damn is this thing a hell of a lot faster.

I really need to dust this thing off and ride it again.
So I posted the DR on that Saturday, showed it on Tuesday, made an agreement on Wednesday to meet and deliver Friday, pending the test ride that didn't happen on Tuesday because of rain.
With a pretty firm deal on the DR I started browsing SV650s. I planned to get a new one, but always have my eyes open for a nice used one, and sonufabitch, this 2019 was on FB with no shit, 399mi on it. The guy had just dropped the price and I hauled ass down to northern Kentucky after work on Thursday and bought it before some other schmuck got there over the weekend. And a group I do rides with (MSTA) were meeting for breakfast Saturday, so I managed to get out for ~100mi on it, and all expectations are met. Going from a the FZ-1 with maybe 130hp to this with maybe 75hp concerned me some, but I think I am going to be very happy, still plenty fast for me!
Im working on a deal for a 72 big twin frame thats title-able. Its a big step forward on my project Ive been tinkering with a year or two. It will have a panhead motor, and be a lean and clean stripped down FL type street custom. I may swap the sidecar to it.
The wheel doesnt belong with it.

Turned 1000 miles old today!
Observed another solar orbit completed the other day with a just short of 500 mile run with these hoonigans.
I might be getting older, but that’s no reason to act like it.
