Have you had any chance to put a good number of rounds through the compact 15 rounders? I'm hoping someone beats on them before I buy.

    Not Tim, but...

I put 160 rounds through 3 of the mags today to vet them for carry. All worked fine. They’ve now replaced the Beretta mags that I’d been using for the last 16 years. This is the first time I’ve used a non-OEM mag in a Beretta. I’m impressed.

http://cdnnsports.com has Beretta 92 Compacts for $469, a price that they say is too low to print. They are in stock.

If you can’t , I understand. Thanks for all you do!
Yeah, it's going to be a while yet before anything happens or I can say anything in any detail. Beretta being Beretta, there are no hard dates yet. I could just say, gun companies being gun companies, or manufacturing being manufacturing, etc.

Oh, boy. What a tease. Is it ok to ask if the details are set in stone or are there still on-going discussions about what could be? Is there a prototype/engineering sample in existence or is it only on paper? I may have time to pick up a 1301 while I wait.

I don't know if it's been covered in the thread or not but whoke browsing today, it's the first time I've been aware of the Springer magwell for the 92

I have a hard time calling Mec-Gar non-OEM. While not in the case of Beretta (AFAIK or is MDS MAC-Gar?) - Mec-Gar is simply OEM without the markup. Not an aftermarket brand I trust more.

Fair enough. OEM are MDS, But Mec-Gar are certainly high quality, and the baseplates are even interchangeable with OEM (at least on my compact 15-rounders).
With silly Colorado mag laws, the higher-capacity Mec-Gars aren’t an option, so Beretta mags have been fine.
