I did mine because it looks cool and basically no other reason. I am not legitimately concerned about the hammer snagging or not concealing well.

But the rule of cool applies.

Same here. I always liked the clean 92D look.

(Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens at some point.)

    Question - 92 slide swapping?

One of the reasons I decided the 92 platform was the TDA platform I wanted to pursue was the availability of LTT’s RDO cut. I realized this morning that the difference in cost between having LTT mill my slide and just buying an additional slide from them precut for their RDO wasn’t huge.

When you swap slides on a 92, is it like an AR where the bolt should ideally follow the barrel - do I need a new locking block for the second slide?

Very good my son. You will be rewarded in the afterlife.
Come, mother, come! For terror is thy name, death is in thy breath, and every shaking step destroys a world for e'er. Thou 'time', the all-destroyer! Come, O mother, come!

Totally read that in Fr. Guido Sarducci’s voice.

The compact is calling me as well, but I don't have any set use for it.
Want, sure enough, but not a need..... Just yet.

Thru JMCK's magic, I can make the Centurion hide appendix pretty well, even on my middle aged approaching 60 fat body.
    There is the want...

Yes, it is a simple swap. If you had a locking block with thousands of rounds it might be worth swapping it out when you change slides but with lower time blocks I wouldn’t worry (not that I’d worry much with a higher time block as long as lockup looked even).

If you didn’t already spring for the Trigger Job, I strongly recommend adding it to your order.
I’ve never had a B92 with a bad trigger, but LTT makes it outstanding, like - it’ll spoil you for everything else.

Re: Locking blocks - I’ll second @Suvorov, and add: There’s probably a slight advantage to keeping the locking block (and barrel) with the same frame it it’s going to be a high round count gun. That way any “wearing in” that the frame and locking block did together is preserved.
That said, it likely won’t make much difference.

I came to the same conclusion re: RDO slides, and bought a second slide for my LTT Elite when I decide to start competing in Carry Optics.
I took the opportunity to replace the barrel and locking block, as the original had about 19k on it.
