Flying witha SIRT?

I wasn't sure where else to put this so I'm putting it here.

I'm getting ready to go on a trip and I'd like to take my SIRT with me. I figure I should probably check it as despite the fact that it is not actually a gun it is likely to freak some people out.

So question, has anyone else flown with theirs and have they had any troubles?
