Here’s a modification some might find interesting, if not appealing. Theoretically, one drawback of Nato straps is that on a watch with conventional spring bars, there exists the risk that the soft, flexible material of the strap will snag one of the shoulders of the spring bar and pull it out of place under sufficient pressure at the wrong angle.

Of course, it would have to happen to both bars for the watch to be lost, but because I have two dive watches I only ever wear on a growing collection of Natos anyway, I decided to install Marathon "single shoulder” or “shoulder less” spring bars, intended for use with drilled lugs.

On un-drilled lugs, this is a semi-permanent modification requiring the destruction of the bars for removal, and it also prevents the potential snagging issue completely. Also, contrary to fixed lug bars that are a permanent part of the case, this setup will probably break away before the wearer's hand is de-gloved, in case the watch gets caught on something and pulled hard. I bought the bars online from Windy City Watch Collector (a Marathon dealer to which I have no connection) for less than half of what Amazon wanted.

The new Garmin tactix is out: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/802703/pn/010-02704-10

I'll get it if I can find a buyer for my Delta Sapphire, though I'm not particularly in a rush to do it, and wouldn't mind if I ended up waiting for the 8.

That's a darn good looking watch, especially at that price point. I just ordered one from Amazon. If you don't kind, what strap is that?

It's easily the cheapest legit dive watch. Enjoy.

Frankly, I don't know. It was a gift years ago. When I'm buying, my go-to source is cheapestnatostraps.com. To my eye, the blue dial Duro really looks good on blue straps and red, white and blue striped straps. The lug width is 22mm.

Out of all my watches the one I find myself wearing the most is my Garmin Marq Adventurer.
All titanium, well proportioned for a smartwatch and I'm fully invested in the Garmin ecosystem when it comes to the apps I most often use.

Thanks. And yes, the blue strap really compliments the blue dial. Red white and blue would be a nice look too.

One could do far worse with 99.99 max than buying that Casio Duro in Blue or Black and a handful of straps from Sofie at cheapest nato straps dot com.

You would have an accurate, water resistant, good looking timepiece that would give you quality service for years at at time between battery changes and have any and every colorway covered in nylon, perlon and/or leather.

    Very Nice Look indeed.
