My Orient Ray, which is similarly priced with Seiko's less expensive automatics, is still within one minute with over two months of daily wear.
Orient makes a lot of nice automatics in the sub $300 range.
Much better watches than similarly priced Seikos.

I've also heard that if you can find someone qualified to do it, the mainspring in an automatic can be balanced pretty easily (I'm pretty sure the adjustment mechanism is visible on the back of my seiko) and that they tend to be tuned towards running fast from the factory (better than slow, I guess.)
I don't understand what's happening, but I have a soldering iron.

Being that I am a destitute full time student, I'll simply admire these watches wistfully. However, have any of you been to this website? Its a tumblr about EDC.

Turbolag,
That is a gorgeous watch! Your wife has good taste (in watches at least).
