Disagree. Just snapped a pic while browsing the thread.

I like the new Bond more than many of the older special editions. It doesn't have 007 plastered all over it.

My daily driver. It is a bit unusual as the bracelet is from an 18248 (that Day-Date reference also has a "bark" bezel) and the head is from a 16238 Datejust. It dates from 1990, when these types of amalgams were possible. I find the bark center links do not show scratches the way the polished links from an 18238 do. I also do not like the looks of the bark bezel, much preferring the classic fluted bezel. The gold hands against the black dial are very legible, especially for my crummy eyes. I also enjoy that there are very few, if any, watches like it.

There are some nicks and scratches, especially in the lugs. It keeps great time for a mechanical chronometer, meeting the modern Rolex standard of +/-2 seconds per day. It runs a bit fast, and I usually need to adjust the time by one to two minutes when it is time to set the date for those months with less than thirty-one days.

    For me*

It didn't set well, neither did the ploprof. It moved on my wrist and wasn't comfortable.

Any thoughts from the hive regarding this inexpensive automatic?

These two came in today. I didn't realize that the Timex face lit up.

That other watch is not what it seems.

I picked this one up on Black Friday and the straps came in today.

I love the Samurai. Great value. Lots of watch for the price. Wears well on my thin wrist (unlike, for example, the Seiko Kinetic GMT, which is a cool watch but too big for me.)

Got my Timex yesterday and also didn't realize that it lit up.
