I tried to like the Calatrava I tried on.
I felt like a Swiss banker.
With the Cuervo I feel like a Caribbean pimp.
With the Ulysse I can embrace my inner Russian mobster.
I just need a Guayabera shirt and an Adidas track suit to finish out my ensembles.

Was wearing my ultra low profile "luxury" watch today.
You gotta be a real G-Shock nerd to recognize this model from any distance.

My first real watch was a Casio G-Shock DW-5000C way back in 1984 (I was 14) and I beat the snot out of that watch all through high school then lost it somewhere in the college shuffle.
The GW-5000-1JF scratched that nostalgic itch perfectly (with a few upgrades like solar/atomic).

Repostin' from a few pages ago:
I got tired of the NATO strap adapter a couple days ago and tried to put the stock strap back on it. I'd tried before and couldn't get it seated right. I thought I got it, but it popped off yesterday in the car. Now my spring bar is somewhere in my car and I'm trying to figure out what to do next.
If anyone has any tips on getting thebraceletstrap back on, I'm all ears.
e: OK I found one of the original springbars and managed to get it in there well enough that I was wrenching on the strap pretty hard and it didn't give.
I think the key was to push the bar into place rather than trying to let it just pop in there.
