Thread: Mobile 1 as a lubricant?

    I don't spend a lot on lube either but if the oil works just as well and is locally available and I can measure it into the container of my choice....well that works better for me. Beats paying triple the cost for a tenth of the amount of the oil to be delivered via mail.

    I don't set foot in any of the local gun stores anymore so car oil is more convenient.
    I have a small squeeze bottle that I refill from the remnants of my last oil change.

    I just take them all in to Jiffy Lube every 5,000mi.

    They have these in the camping dept. Of most outdoor stores for ~.50 cents each.

    Just make sure the kind in the camping store will hold up to motor oil or you will have a mess on your hands.

    I had a Brownells bottle, with Militec, it leaked around the threads.

    Maybe they've improved them in the past 5 years?

    For those of you using the synthetic motor oils, how many rounds do you typical go between oiling the gun?
