Avg street price used to be .28 - .32 per round (9mm - 115 gr FMJ - Fiocchi - 1000 Rounds for example).
I just saw on Luckygunner the same Fiocchi for .41 per round.
Gouging or is this the new norm?

Definitely the current norm.
Check out www.gun-deals.com for some specials here and there, but understand that they are all subject to frequent change and verification.
Cabelas is keeping up with PMC, Herters, AE (115 or 124), Magtech, UMC all in the $.25-$.32/rd range. Box (50) prices hover around $13.99-$15.99. 10 box limit, but they've managed to keep a pretty stable supply flow.
It's out there. Very regional, very vendor dependent.
I was averaging about .21 a round shipped for MagTech, Speer, and Aguila from SGAmmo before things went crazy.
I do my best proofreading after I hit "Send"
prior to the crazy, I got most of my bulk 9mm at $0.19/round out the door. 115gr copper plated.
Well, just left Wallyworld with 3 50rd boxes of Federal FMJ 9mm for $13.97 per box = .28 cents per round.
Limit 3 per customer, I'm ok with that. Only 2 boxes left on the shelf as I left.
Progress...
Luckygunner has always been a bit pricey with there ammo.
A few months ago, I would be pissed if I had to pay more than $0.22 per round. These days I would happily buy a case at $0.30 simply for the fact that it was available.
I just saw 115 gr. Federals for .59 - I reload for .09
It seems like everything has been climbing upward, but smart shopping for components yields better value than loaded ammo. Of course, you can't get primers right now, so we reloaders are in a similar situation to those who buy factory ammo. I think it will all start to calm down, but I would imagine that loaded ammo will stay in the .25 range and not go back down much more than that. I don't have anything other than a "gut feel" for that.
