Why the Super? On a practical level, it gives you a few more bb's over the 45. When shooting the rimless cases (38 Super Comp and it's endless variations), nothing feeds smoother in a 1911. Ballistically, it approaches the vaunted 357Mag in a 11 shot, slim profile, minimal muzzle blast pistol.

Why do I love the 38 Super? Because border town cantinas, pretty mexican senoritas, Pacifico, and hot salsa.
