probably just shoot it the same way I shoot it in CO, start out in DA mode with hammer down.

My local shop had one and I got to handle it today. Very sleek and nice finish and grips. It looks like a P01 with an ambi decocker. But the grip is much better and you can get a lot higher up on it with the shadow 2 contour. Mediocre trigger, just like an out-of-the-box P01. One thing I noticed is that it had a very long length of pull (my big hands, stubby fingers). My trigger finger just barely had a comfortable fit on it. Also, the decocker was very stiff.
It didn’t end up following me home. I tried, but could not think of any way in which this would be preferable to my milled slide P07’s with CGW internals.
Call me strange, but if it had a steel frame, I would’ve picked it up since it would be a fun gun and not for carry.

In an EDC pistol, I actually am not looking for a CZ competition level trigger. For practical shooting, I think the stock trigger works great. Since I am not shooting a shadow 2 with a competition trigger, I am not insulted by this trigger. I like this pistol a lot, and I hope it encourages CZ to bring out one with a 4.5 inch slide and a full-size grip.

The decocker on mine started out stiff, but feels like it is breaking in. In any event, I don’t see that as a negative as it just requires a deliberate motion to decock.

From my perspective, a major benefit is having a carry pistol that will work well with the stock components. With this new CZ, I literally removed the optic plate, screwed on the EPS, and have been shooting it. That is how I plan to carry it.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

I played with @CDub_NW's S2carry and agree. With some lubrication and break-in, I think the stock gun will be great. I would still swap in a CGW floating trigger pin to make TRS changes easy, and the tempered FP roll pin to prevent dryfire issues.

What's old is new again I guess. I carried a SIG P228 years ago so I was/am familiar with DA semi-autos. That said, I do not wish to return to that format as I am spoiled with the simpler 'point & pull' striker fire format now having either shot/carried/owned them since 1986. I have to admit however that the CZ fanbase is extremely loyal. I just think DA semis are a step back IMO.

For a SA/DA CARRY pistol, I really like my CZ SDP2 Compact that I purchased from CZ Custom several years ago. I've played around a bit with the Shadow 2 Carry, but my personal preference is this pistol, which seems to provide just about the same features, albeit for a slightly higher price, (I paid about $1100 for mine given the work done on it by CZC.
