Glock 19.5 loose striker channel liner

I had a striker channel liner come out with the striker assembly on one of my G19.5's. The gun is new to me and I haven't fired it yet. Will this cause a functional issue?
I don't see how it could hurt anything, as it's not going anywhere once it's all put together. Thought I had better ask for advice on the consequences and the importance of correction.

    Thoughts?

Is the Slide cerakoted by chance? If so, the liner needs to be removed and replaced due to the heating cycle. I have seen some cerakote folks skip this step and a loose liner is the result as it shrinks when the slide is baked.

I did have a broken screw extracted from the MOS pocket, but I don’t envision that requiring heating. My gunsmith said he drilled it and spun it out with an easy-out, then ran a thread chaser through both holes.

In my experience over several Gen5 guns now, the striker channel liner is looser in them than previous generations, sometimes coming out with the striker assembly. I keep a spare or two around, but have not had to replace one yet.

For some reason it seems like the factory is oiling the crap out of some of the new guns, and I always break down the slide and clean all the oil out of the striker channel and off the striker parts after the first range trip.

My LEO trade in early 17.5 does this. I was worried about it but Google said it wasn’t really an issue as long as there was no visible wear or issues with the channel liner and everything felt fine.

Functionally, it feels just like my other three.

My personal experience is that the last three Glocks I bought were all heavily lubed in the striker channel area, the exact spot that armorers tell us to keep dry. I've not had a channel liner come loose while cleaning out the lube but I can see how all that oil can add to the issue.
