Thread: NO LOCK PC 19 Carry Comp has dropped

  1. #21
Revolvers are starting to trend with the younger tactical crowd around here at least, had several of my regular Tacswap trade customers all transfer in revolvers in the past two weeks. These guys are normally 2011, fancy Glock and Gucci AR dudes, but they have all been on a 1911 and revolver kick recently. They have no idea what they are doing tho, and are having a hard time understanding that you don't rip these things apart and throw a bunch of drop in parts at it to make it "better". Anywho. This is right up their collective alley. I expect to see one transfered in most quickly by at least one of them.

    Dorks.

But hey, if it means more revolvers out there, I'm down.

This is truly most excellent news. That demographic tends to be smart, innovative, and unwilling to settle for second best. They will also drop coin to get results.

They'll ruin a few guns as they learn the ancient ways, but I'd bet a round of PF drinks that their fumbling will create a renaissance like we saw with the 1911 in the 80s when their fathers and uncles did the same thing to be competitive in IPSC, Bianchi Cup, and other games. We're likely to see guys turning out 3D printed parts that are superior to factory parts, learn new ways to smith existing iron, etc.

These are the exact conditions that got Bill Wilson, Mike Dillon, and others off the ground. I look forward to it.

Color preferences are subjective. I think the E-210 Moss is probably okay. It would be nice to see one of these revolvers up close where I can handle it and determine if I'd actually pay money for it.

And it seems to typically grow on me over time.
I wanted the 5in M&P that was only available in FDE and I begrudgingly bought one, then I ended up with three of them. ETA: With holsters that match (not sure I am proud of that part...).
In my big purge of a couple years ago I sold a Ruger SR1911 Commander that had a green frame that I couldn't care less about when I bought it, now I reminisce abought getting that one back...

FYI everyone, my LGS also has an all black 640-1 no lock. Brand new production.

I just saw the moss no lock guns, and then the 640. I am hoping the trend of no lock smiths will continue!
