The swarm thing is interesting. Wonder how they’ve been testing that…🤔

Here’s a good read about what to expect about it. The companies bidding were awarded $1B each in 2022 to develop concepts/prototypes. I’m surprised it seems so close to production already.

Well at least this Boeing entry doesn’t look like a whale, unlike their JSF bid.

Good luck to ‘em, hope it works out.

Having not followed this sort of aviation for quite some time I was at first taken back by the de-emphasis of classic fighter manueverability but I guess it all makes sense when the paradigm shifts to extreme stealth, range, speed, range of weapons (its own and networked weapons), and "vision" (electronic reach to see and communicate with drones or other aircraft).

Related I guess; adaptive kill webs. Whew.

Tall order! If the F22 and F35 programs are any indication, modern super fighter launches are more complex than the moon shot. I just hope that along the way, Boeing can figure out how to assemble 737s correctly again so I can stop going backwards on the seniority list. Boeing has truly become a pathetic excuse for an aerospace company , but it is what it is and I wish them and the F47 success.
