Thread: Small gun comparison -- G43X, G26, 365, CC9, Hellcat, Shield+

Eager to see what you learn between g26, 365, and cc9. Really like the cc9 I'm testing as I posted in the hk subcompact thread. For me, cc9 offers some worthwhile enhancements. But the somewhat mixed accuracy results at 25 that you and Sensei found, has me wondering if the cc9 is going to have inconsistent accuracy beyond 15y.

Very curious to see p365/xmacro results.

10% jump in Glock 19 performance compared to 26/43x was expected and is in line with other reports.

30% jump in Glock 47 performance is very impressive and unexpected given that Glock 19 has some extension on the backstrap (making it closer to full size), has the same RSA so the only difference is the slide and barrel ...

Thanks for testing this @GJM. I've been thinking about joining the G26 Mafia, and I'm interested in how the other pistols compare.

Also, that G26 is the ugliest thing I've seen in a while.

Great thread; thanks for the time and effort to share this.
Apart from the pistols themselves, how much a part do you think the variety in optics played in performance? Would you expect the spread to tighten up/remain the same if you put a -k on every gun and shot the drills back to back?
(I know it shouldn't be that big a deal; target focus is target focus. However, big windows are big windows for a reason)

I really appreciate the thread and am curious what the numbers end up being for the P365s and the CC9. Maybe think about some tests/drills that involve shooting one handed as well.

FYI, the Super Test consists of three strings of fire:
    -10 rounds, at 15y, in 15s
    -10 rounds, at 10y, in 10s
    -10 rounds, at 5y, in 5s

What you’re shooting would be called the Advanced Test. The basic Test standard for variations of it is shot from the ready. If you run it from the draw, it’s the “Advanced” version. If you run the Super Test from the draw it would be the Advanced Super Test.

The 47 has a Timney trigger and weighted grip plug as part of the magwell. Since I have shot a 47 nearly every day for the last four months, I am very familiar and comfortable with it.

What has surprised me so far, is how much I enjoyed shooting the 43X, and that the 26 choked twice on Gold Dot 124+P.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

I'm still stuck on this line. I have a hard time even seeing the target at 25 yards. I am in awe of your skill, sir!
Skill and experience weigh nothing, and you have them with you all the time.
