Thread: Is there a reason I want to do a trust over individual for a can?

    Yeah, this will be The Way... She just needs to be on the trust if I get anything. Not like she is not a good sport about my shenanigans, just not involved in it.

    Recently helping a buddy's widow exposed me to the harsh reality of the treasures becoming a burden, and things do not necessarily transpire in what might be considered reasonable by a federal government agency. Said buddy had wayyyy more "treasures" than I do (none NFA), but we are creeping up on two years and she (we...) is still dealing with it. And she wants to sell the house and move but this is anchoring her there until it is dealt with. If I croak off I do not want a clock to start ticking on her, just because I wanted to fart around with some gun mufflers.

    This is why I've started thinning out my collection (applies to other hobbies as well). I don't want my family dealing the hassle of disposing of legally relevant items given their lack of expertise. I'm in my early 50s so I should have a long way to go, but I want it mostly sorted out before it becomes time sensitive.
