Thread: Mossberg Redemption(?)

I am enough of a contrarian to run a 940 Pro SPX Tactical or whatever they are calling it. Anyone want to donate one?

I appreciate they are still trying to crack the code on a good semi auto, and while I like the older style ghost rings, I do understand the reasoning for the new design. I do find it hard to believe that sights that cannot be zeroed will work across the board regardless of slug or buckshot load used. I zero my guns pretty tight on slugs. It is one of the things I don't like about the A300, but at least with the A300 there are options to put an adjustable rear sight on the gun.

If they can run through and make it more durable and reliable. I’m all for it.

I may not be a huge fan of the cerakote color. However, I have had parkerized shotguns rust from just being in a trunk for extended duration with normal humidity levels. So, I think it is better suited to be a more durable finish.

Honestly, I’d like to pick one up and I don’t care what color it is (90% of the time. Pink/Purple/Neon Yellow or Green. Just something mildly masculine and matte that’s durable).
    God Bless,

Beretta radically changed my mind on semi-auto guns, specifically the 1301 & A300 (not the 1201FP in the way back of the safe).

If the production version of the 940 SPX PRO performs like the pre-production gun and they develop an SBS version, I'll be a very happy camper. If.
Yeah, I give Mossy credit for that, they seem to really be trying to improve and garner feedback from people who know what a shotgun should be. It's hard to balance that with what the mass market wants and will buy en masse.
