The Grendel P10 eventually morphed into the detachable mag P12. Which I admit to having owned.

Heh.
I say you what, as soon as I buy RB57, I'll throw a plastic clip-catch on the webstore. Jam it into ejection port, mag will dump itself instantly into it (or maybe into an attached sandwich bag). Carry it in the same bag pocket where the factory clips are.
OH! The other side can be used instead of Leatherman in case of the double feed everyone is so concerned about, once in 20 years.

Nothing compared to people who dry fire on here.
Let's face it - this gun isn't marketed to folks on this forum, and that's perfectly fine.
The concerns expressed here are mostly about the fixed mag with "how to safely unload" and "how to clear a malfunction". I think if they can address the first part of that, they'll really be onto something as "a gun for non-gun people".

FWIW: my wife since hand surgery a few years back is very recoil intolerant. We bought an FN 5.7 due to that sensitivity. She loved it. Recoil in that platform is pretty light. On the other hand she eventually started developing a flinch from the muzzle blast so it went down the road. Her go to's for range days are mostly back to my Colt 1903's in .32 ACP and her Bersa Thunder in .22 LR.
"If the wolves come out of the walls, it's all over."
This makes the good point that recoil is not the only issue when finding solutions for sensitive shooters.
Addressing other points upthread, I would never consider a 5.7 for someone who is not recoil sensitive for the following reasons:
DocGKR's comments on the lack of effectiveness
Those planning on being able to penetrate soft body armor should also consider:
18 USC sec. 921(a)(17) (defining armor-piercing ammo)
18 USC sec. 922(a)(7) (prohibiting armor-piercing ammo)
While I cannot comment on the effectiveness or lack thereof of commercially-available 5.7, the ammo specifically designed for this purpose is unavailable to those of us who are mere civilians.
I would still be interested to try a 5.7 for someone who is recoil sensitive and finds a typical 9mm to be uncomfortable.
