Can anyone with experience with 5.7 pistols comment on the recoil as compared to a 9mm or a locked breech .380?

I’ve only ever shot the FN Five-seven, and to my recollection the recoil was very mild compared to, say, a Glock [emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]]]]]. But the noise and blast of the Five-seven seemed barkier.

She also doesn't want to spend much money on a new gun.
There's actually such a pistol made in India : https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/...istol-44816998

but I don't think we can see it here for some legal, ATF or whatever rules. Keeping America safe from 32 ACP.

What's your source of information that the American governement is in some way prohibiting the importation of Indian .32s?

AFAIK it's the Indian side. Indian law prohibits the export of "common bores and calibers", and 32 is the most common of all in India. Then, if it's not a common bore, good luck getting a certificate that it's not an antique from the Indian Archeological Survey...another requirement for export.

They lack a firearms export industry, in general, because anything you want to export from there is going to fall into one of those two prohibited categories. AFAIK, there's no scheme by the US government to deprive you of Indian .32s, with the exception that our governments don't get along and we aren't good trade partners, so there's usually full-price customs on Indian imports compared to other countries.

Not being an importation expert, I read from some posts when it surfaced that it didn't make the points necessary. But I bow to your wisdom that it would be a legal import.

I’d say a FiveseveN was akin to a 22 Mag, plus a little oomph. Noise and blast aplenty, but not much recoil.

That's what I'm not sure of, the "little oomph". Noise and blast is fine.

What I would really like is the full auto 10/22 with a lightweight synthetic stock. I think she'd be able to aim it, pull the trigger and then 30 rounds of .22 are on the way to the target.

Ran into an old coworker and his girlfriend at the range. She is in the same boat and could NOT operate his P226 with a 22LR kit.

What about this Beretta 86 clone?

I believe this would fit the bill and its a 380. That said, I have never operated one of these, just going by the reviews.
