He said he was shooting gold dot. He didn’t specifically state +p.
Outdoor life has a review of the HD too. They averaged 1.09” for their 5rd groups at 15 yards.
Here's an example of a HD improvement migrating back to the traditional Staccato lineup...a revised tool-less recoil rod and plug for the Staccato P from Dawson Precision. I seem to recall in an interview Staccato noting that one of the improvements they made to the HD line was the keyed plug to prevent dirt or other debris from entering the pistol.

"When the phone rang, Parker was in the garage, killing a man."
Short version: He says the HD is GTG.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
No one is coming. It is up to us.
1911 syndicate hates the gun, mentions a rattle from the recoil buffer and the paddle safety. My HD doesn't have the rattle. Has anyone been able to replicate his “auto” safety issue?
The auto-activation of the thumb safety has been well described in shooters who do not ride the safety. It was the likely culprit for the “dead hammer drop” malfunction in the early QVO video; partial safety activation during rapid fire caused the hammer to drop without igniting the primer. I believe that Hilton Yam also mentioned it happening to some people who fired his gun in his review of the first 1000 rounds.
It’s probably not going to be a huge problem for people accustomed to 1911/2011 platforms since most of us already ride the safety from the moment it comes out of the holster. I see it being a problem for people accustomed to other platforms where the dominant thumb has to be kept away from the frame so as not to interfere with the slide release (ie many legacy Sig P-series), and other shooters not experienced with thumb safeties.
I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.
