I was on the verge of getting a C.2024 after chatting with HCM about pros/cons. I'm convinced they're making solid pistols and wish them all success, so it's no knock on Staccato, but I decided to hold off.

When I want the "grail shooting experience" I also prefer to stick with a well-tuned 1911. It's hard to beat, if you have one set up well. Otherwise, I've been shooting so well with my Glocks and 365s, there's little incentive to get into another expensive, proprietary pistol--no matter how awesome it is.

Thanks for the info! Very interesting.

Agreed. They make solid pistols. The P was my first 2011 and then I bought an ACW Quantico HiCap, which I shot all of 2023 and a good portion of 2024 before focusing on 1911s. 2011 grips are just slightly too chonky in my opinion, so a thinner grip frame on account of Staccato’s updated mag design from the C/CS or maybe one to accommodate Glock mags as Utm mentioned above would address that issue, though.

I felt the p grip was too chunky. I run the c with a full size grip on duty and its the perfect size. After I see what's released at shot I'm going with a compact grip c if I'm not intrigued by what's released for edc

I would be first in line to order a Staccato C that takes G19 mags. But from a business standpoint, wouldn't that basically kill their brand new V3 lineup? Why would anyone buy a gun that uses proprietary $70 mags that are never in stock when you could get the exact same gun that takes $20 Glock mags?

Unsure what's worse, the cult of Staccato or that of the iPhone.

If Staccato makes a 2011 that uses Glock mags, I may have to buy a Staccato again.

It appears that the pin may be involved with the external extractor. I don't think that I've ever seen a pinned rear sight, but who knows.

The shelf or ledge on the slide stop would seem to be quite a bit different from what's usually seen with 1911s or 2011s. The Platypus has a similar style.

interesting. although as others have said, it really defeats the purpose of everything they've done so far in the past few yrs with the new proprietary magazines...

Staccato has already introduced the external extractor for the C/CS models; there is no pin though.
