Small primer work good for me and now I only have to stock one size.

OK, maybe a bit overly dramatic but I recently spent a couple of hours over several nights separating SPP and LPP in the stash of .45 brass I've collected over 10-15 years.
Concur! I separated out all my SPP .45 brass until I had enough, then shot a match and LEFT all my brass laying on the ground to drive the range chickens insane.

I had been trading all my SPP .45 brass until large primers became harder to get and more expensive.
SP primers are about 50% cheaper now and I can keep a larger stock of them with big orders easier.
Now I’m going to reload SPP .45 exclusively this winter.
I’ll still have to stock LPPs for .44 magnum but my reserve should last a while with the amount I shoot of that.

I still have most of a case of Winchester LPPs that I bought sometime pre-Covid. I have to load a bunch of 9x19, then I'm going to switch the 550 to large pistol and load all my .44 Special and Magnum. I'm going to blow through the last 40ish rounds of .44 Mag hunting ammo today and load all my empty cases with 240-grain coated LSWCs and enough BE-86 (don't know how much yet) to go ~950 fps.

@Joshmill any interest in printing a couple of the LPP/SPP separator blocks?

That's pretty slick! I started to go cross eyed while sorting mine and I'm sure I tossed some LP brass by mistake.
    Bad ideas, brilliant execution

I feel like I know a guy whose son is big into 3D printing stuff...
