I'm pretty happy with how a local school board election has turned out. A local politician I actually know and respect (a true rarity) won a seat.

My wife and I voted today. My parents in Mississippi voted too despite their age(112). So did Grandpa.
My island has about a million people on it. The state opened up two polling locations today….news is reporting four hour wait times
I don't like making plans for the day, because words like "premeditated" get thrown around the courtroom.
My wife and I voted 3 weeks ago, we always voted on election day but, early is the way to go.
As promised for @Totem Polar
Our local voting space is in the rec area of a city-owned high-rise apt building for handicapped & elderly folks that is a few blocks away.
They were well staffed, efficient, (made sure to check my address), and had a fast moving line, though we had a long ballot this year. Turnout seemed like it might have been higher than the last two.

This election was a bit weird for me, and continues weirdness from 2022.
In 2022 we moved to East TN… then 9 days later I flew back to CA to live in our motorhome, sell our house there, and finish the last ~14 months until I could retire. The house sold in the beginning of October, and by the time the midterms came to the PO Box I still had in my hometown, which was not in the county where I currently lived I didn’t want to break any voting laws, didn’t know them, felt disaffected enough that I felt my vote didn’t count anyway in CA, and so for the first time ever since I was 18 I didn’t vote.
Now I’m permanently in Tennessee and voted early around October 20th… which I’ve never done. I kinda feel like Election Day is a thing and voting in person is something important. This year I just felt like early voting was something of a strategic necessity and my son, who is voting for the first time and massively into politics wanted to vote early.
It worked out because I started a new job last week and yesterday was (and am) in the Nashville area for a business meeting… so the early voting was a good thing.
I still like the idea of “Election Day”, but we’ll see if I can go back to trusting that.
I voted, though not for President. It was a short slate - just my congressional rep, a surprisingly heavily contested State Appeals Court judge race, and an amendment to the State Constitution.
