Anyone know of a list by year for these?

Looking for some history on a local PD gun while they try to find the NFA paperwork.

I'd take a SWAG SN S-1371xx was made in 1942. The "S" indicates Savage production


I used to own a similar Savage 1928A1. The one I had was a little rough looking, re-parkerized and a good shooter.
