So to paint a broader stroke - are women becoming more conservative while men more liberal?

I doubt it. The modern 2A debate (focused far more on right to carry and the use of handguns for self-defense) is appealing to many women regardless of their general political philosophy. I have a friend that is fairly liberal, she has a PhD and works for a university. For her, carrying a concealed weapon is a no brainer. She carries regularly. She is not conservative though. Support for the 2A is a bi-partisan issue apparently, just not for the DNC leadership apparently.

I had a friend approach me about CCW this year. She's from Cary, NC......which I believe is referred to as the North Carolina Communist Repopulation Zone. She is hard core left-wing liberal, straight up socialist that works as a scientist for a non-profit research organization.....the kind of person that cried out of joy when Obama was elected.

Of course, to be honest, it's no wonder that the intelligentsia thinks they themselves should be armed. That's true in any country or political clime....It's when you talk of arming the plebeians where their attitude changes.
