Yeah, that. ^
These days, pistol-forum is like that crazy ex you dated in college.
Everything was fine, relations were fine, spending time together was great......and then there was the night after that last kegger, when you woke up groggily at 1:30AM with her standing over you, wild eyed, flecks of blood dripping from her teeth...only to get up the next morning and everything be normal again.
For a while...

That's an oddly specific reference.
ETA: I've tried a couple other gun fora recently, and I'm sticking with PF: the moderation and signal/noise ratio being astronomically better here.
ETA2: Yes, I did have a hiccup/timeout in trying to post these edits. I'm still sticking with PF.

Skill and experience weigh nothing, and you have them with you all the time.
Site issues continue to happen to me on a regular basis. This persists independent of browser or operating system. I see the same things with desktop Linux running Brave, as well as various iOS devices using FF.
Random and occasional delays in response from something labeled "Network Protocol Errors"
This is typically (but not always) associated with resubmitting the web page:
Look, this is a great set of people, and I find the time I spend here to be very productive, in terms of the quality of information and access to some of the broadest perspective on shooting on the internet.
But the problem is that these increasingly common and pervasive (it seems to me) technical issues are degrading that experience by a factor or 2, or more.
What I mean is I spend almost as much time waiting on the server to respond, or resubmitting web page requests, or closing and reopening browser windows as I do actually using the site. Things don't seem to be getting better. This has been going on for over six weeks at least for me.
What is causing this issue?
Why is it happening?
What is the solution?
What resources are required to put it in place?
What is the time outlook for implementing that solution?
The last 48 hours have seen a complete absence of delays, Network Protocol errors or resubmission requests seen by me.
Site performance has been very adequate lately across multiple platforms, both at home and mobile.
I still blame the lazy ass hamsters that power this server. They keep going on strike for more food and water, but fat hamsters are damaging to the power wheel.
The site is very hiccuppy today -- and really since Friday. Lots of time-outs.
Maybe it's all the new revolver announcements.
(Meme submitted for some humor).
Anyone else getting Network Protocol Errors clicking on the "Biden Commutes....." thread, but no problems (except sometimes slow) on any other threads?
