    S&W PC Carry Comp Pistols

    NEW from Smith & Wesson®'s Performance Center®:

    M&P®9 M2.0® Metal CARRY COMP®
    M&P®9 M2.0® Compact CARRY COMP®
    M&P®9 Shield® Plus CARRY COMP®

Strategically designed with our Power Port vented barrel, all the models in this series feature a redesigned slide with extremely aggressive serrations, optics-cut, night sights, and a PC™-tuned action.
    TLDR: S&W copies SIG’s homework.

Looks like a full length barrel/ chunk port rather than a Macro Comp style shorted barrel?

I like these more (porting vs expansion chamber)

I do love the shield. If my wife could rack the shield slide we would never have gone to the p365 famiy

Do ported barrels eject bullet material out of the ports? I've only had comped barrels (several 1911 in 45, and a PMM for a glock).

    They’re NOT going to make a CA/WA/MA compliant version (10+1). I emailed.

    They can.

If properly backbored, then it will only be gas and powder. If not back bored, it can include jacket shavings.

Some have also reported jacket fragments from the muzzle with ports and certain types of bullet jackets.

Being at the end of the muzzle, this should be fully back bored and fairly innocuous. Should.

A local gunshop here (South Sound area) will modify the magazines to be 10 rounders. They will also just keep the magazines if you want to go that route.

S&W can be stingy on some models when it comes to ban states. Five inch M&Ps are impossible to find at retail, while 4.25s, compacts and Shields are everywhere.

That said, it's still the same mag design, right? I've bought a couple M&Ps off Gunbroker that shipped without mags and I just added the 10 rounders separately. It's convoluted and not cost effective but unless you're in a state with restrictions beyond the magazine, it can be done.

I plan to check a full size out as soon as my LGS gets one. The money is burning a hole in my pocket as I type. Does anyone know if the large backstraps have enough palm swell to get your support hand behind the gun?
