My club has put on a stop the bleed class, installed bleed kits in every bay, has radios in every squad bucket, along with an emergency plan on laminated stock, and we identify all medically trained people in the shooter meeting before every match, including their squad number. We just certified 23 new USPSA RO’s, and every new shooter has to go through a 30 minute new shooter orientation before the matches begin.
New shooters are also coached and get extra supervision at all of our level ones. Our club has a very good safety record and we would like to keep it that way. Safety is cultural in my club.
