What a great course!
Thanks for the review, it was very well written. That sounds like an excellent training opportunity.
I was fortunate to be in Seattle coincident with Tom Givens offering his 2-day Rangemaster Combative Pistol course at West Coast Armory North a few years ago. John had organized the class and was a "student" on the line (talk about a contrast).
Skill and experience weigh nothing, and you have them with you all the time.
Solid review, it was an absolute pleasure squad-ing with you and JP. When folks bring the requisite skill and do the work before class, it makes for a great day of learning.
That 5 seconds past green shooting, I recall us looking at each other in amazement.
I shot Hearne’s first two day with you also, and will have another run at that this OCT.
Hope to see you there again.

This was a great bunch of guys, learned a bunch. I am not sure how feel about the lasers. In this application I think they are a bit gimmicky, though not with that intent. I think it is hard to introduce this concept in effort to improve our skills and get out from under an old paradigm. We need to see what is before us, react appropriately, not overreact, and keep it all together. That is asking alot, and I think this will improve as the equipment grows going forward.
I have been to all of the “3 John” courses and feel they each add something a bit different in this vain. From this class, I was very impressed with John’s muzzle control at all times, particularly with respect to reloading your weapon, barrel toward planet Earth, and muzzle awareness when transitioning between targets. This cannot be over emphasized enough. John’s atuned eye also picked up some clumsy shit I was doing with respect to reholstering, and adjusting my grip between shots-Huge Thanks! John’s AI were first rate!
Loved the class, and you should take all 3 as the sum is better than the parts!
