Question - is there any kind of push alert when someone with an ankle monitor leaves a geofenced area, or is it something that needs to be looked up to see the person’s current location?

Chicago law enforcement officials ID suspect, announce charges in murder of police officer
Police announced the arrest of Darion McMillian, who is charged in connection with the murder of Officer Enrique Martinez

Re: control ability of full auto Glocks, it appears that in addition to killing the officer this suspect killed his homeboy who was driving the vehicle via “friendly fire”
Cook and Will Counties being very obverse jurisdictions for prosecution and sentencing, it's not necessarily a for-sure thing that his Cook County sentence, post-conviction, will be more substantial than his already pending court cases.

First prong: radio-beacon/literal-radius ankle monitors versus GPS ankle monitors

Second prong: the inclination of the County, State, or Federal agency to violate someone's parole, probation, or Electronic Monitoring status. EM in IL state counts the same as IDOC incarceration; the general reality is that whatever sentence for incarceration someone receives, they'll do 50% on the inside with whatever credit for time-served pre-conviction (to include bracelet time) counting towards that, then they'll be released to EM for the remaining 50%.

Third prong: the inclination of the County, State, or Federal prosecutors to, well, prosecute. As relates to this preceding story, it's whatever it is.

Fourth prong: (in direct reference to the preceding story) they just closed IDOC Stateville 09/30/2024. Take that as you will.

I can’t believe Stateville closed. Well, yes I can - the rumors of the condition of the buildings were around for decades.
