    SBR- Where to Start?

Okay, I'm ready to begin the process of turning my EvoIII into an SBR.

    Where do I begin?

First you need to decide whether you want to do it as an individual or a trust. Individual is faster but more of a hassle for your survivors.

You’ll need fingerprints. It’s worth getting an electronic file if you will be doing more than one, otherwise you can do it the old fashioned way on a card.

Then go create an eForms account to start the process. It’s pretty simple, but there are pitfalls. This will be an eForm 1 to “make” a SBR.

    Individual or trust?

In any event, go ahead and register on the ATF website, get your passport style photo made of yourself, it can be electronic. Also fingerprint cards made up. Also photograph the parts of the weapon that are engraved with the Maker's name/ location, as well as serial number.

Also, have you decided on a stock? OAL is something you state on the application, so knowing what you’re going to use is needed for that dimension.

Is there a link to the engraving requirements?

I’ve never seen one, I’m sure it’s in a reg someplace.

Is there a good place with an example of what I'll need?

Is it size and depth you’re trying to find? What you engrave is pretty simple - in my case trust name, city, state. I’m not sure how individuals work, like if you have a long last name.

The plan is for a Repilia/Zhukov stock
