.308 rifle duty loads - update

"The current .308 rifle loads that best meet these requirements when fired from a 16" barrel semi-auto, include the Remington 150 gr Core-Lokt Ultra Bond JSP, followed by the Speer 150 gr Gold Dot JSP, and Swift 150 gr Scirocco bonded PT."

Has this changed with new ammo coming out? Any experiences/recommendations in terms of reliability in older rifle types (FAL, G3, M1A)?
    Thanks!

Cant answer specific to current ammo. And no experience with m1a or g3. But both my DSA fal's ate everything. Additionally the fal has adjustable gas settings if you needed to kick it up or down.

Thanks! So bullet design isn't such a big factor when it comes to reliability in the .308?

As far as innovation goes, Hornady has replaced the AMAX 155gr. bullet with the 155 gr ELD MATCH one in the TAP line.

    Does this change Doc's recommendations?

ELD Match is not bonded or have any mechanical core/jacket locking, and thus would not be a good choice for anything dealing with intermediate barriers. They would very likely work well with the unobstructed shots, as a substitute for SMK or the old A-Max bullets as @DocGKR had recommended for unobstructed shots.
