Im mostly stuck in old school mode, even my plastic pistol is old, early gen 2 I believe, though at this point I dont carry it, so doesnt qualify either way.

My previous Winchester 94 carry/walk around gun (1927 or 1960) has been replaced for most walk around use by an 1873 357 carbine. In the mountains it was previously an 1886 Browning carbine or Winchester 71. They are hard on my bum shoulder, so dont get out much any more.

The new favorite revolver is a 2 1/2" Smith 19, mostly with Rem 357 158gr sjhp loads. Previously a 4" 19, 4" 29 or 4" 24 depending on where. The Colt Agent is the everywhere pocket protector. The Ruger 45s still get some carry time also.

    24 and 1873

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”

Virtually all of my carry guns were designed before my grandfather was born: 1911s and D-Frames. Only carry gun I have designed in our current century is a Ruger LCP.

I’m still rocking a series 70 1911. We have been through the fad-cycle a few times now

    Lol, that's all I carry.

    2.75" m66-8 .357
    4" 1911 lw champion. 45
    5" 1911 loaded .45
    4" 625 mountain gun .45 colt
    4" m19-3 .357

I can even stick with heavy swc for all of them

And my woods walking rifle is also over 100 years old

That gun is totally gorgeous! So many trails and roads as a faithful companion and no doubt so much history behind it. My 6.5 M27 was gracefully aged to almost that point.
